What would happen if you called for an ambulance and no one came? Scary to think about, but at Shaler Hampton EMS, it’s our job to make sure that scenario never happens.
Our mission is to provide a vibrant community-based emergency medical service (EMS) where compassionate and high-quality care is provided for all who live, work, or visit our communities of Etna, Hampton, and Shaler. We do this by attracting and retaining the highest quality staff, and by always striving for a positive work environment, fair compensation, great benefits, and a continual learning environment.
Shaler Hampton EMS operates 5 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances which are crewed by a combination of career and volunteer staff, all of who are certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMT) or Paramedics (EMT-P) . All clinical staff operate using state protocols and operate under the guidance of Allegheny Health Network Prehospital Care Services.
Shaler Hampton EMS is involved in many emergency medical alliances including: North East Ambulance Alliance (NEAA), Allegheny County EMS, EMS West, Pennsylvania Ambulance Association (PAA), and the American Ambulance Association (AAA).
